Heidi Melton

Executive Director

Meet Heidi, a native of San Antonio, Texas who has been involved in the performing arts since she was a child. She started her professional career at the age of 18 as a singer, dancer, and actor for Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Over the years, Heidi has honed her skills and expanded her repertoire, serving as a swing, dance captain, and choreographer for the popular theme park.

In addition to her work at Six Flags, Heidi has also worked as a production singer for Carnival Cruise Lines. However, it's her love for community theater that truly shines through. Since retiring from the professional performing world in 2011, Heidi has been integral to numerous community theater productions. Her standout performances include Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, Cindy Lou in Marvelous Wonderettes, Elizabeth Benning in Young Frankenstein, Violet Newstead in 9 to 5: The Musical, and Diana in Lend Me A Tenor.

Heidi's passion for the arts is evident in her recent accomplishment of earning a BA in Arts Management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. When she's not busy performing or managing theater productions, Heidi enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Daniel, and their three children.

Artistic Director

Daniel, a native Texan, honed his passion for theater and music while growing up in Ft. Worth. At the tender age of 18, he embarked on his professional performing career as a versatile singer, dancer, actor, and swing with Six Flags Over Texas. During his nearly 20-year tenure at the amusement park, spanning five different parks, Daniel acquired an impressive skill set in various technical and production elements. His expertise includes writing, directing, producing, and set design. Daniel's soaring tenor voice also earned him positions as a singer for Princess and Crown Cruise Lines.

After relocating to the picturesque Texas Hill Country, Daniel became the Technical Director for the Fredericksburg Theater Company and has starred in several notable productions. His roles include Greater Tuna, Tuna Christmas, Nicely Nicely in Guys and Dolls, King Arthur in Spamalot, Inspector Kemp in Young Frankenstein, Rooster in Annie, Bill in Mamma Mia!, Ms. White in Clue the Musical, and most recently, Jinx in Forever Plaid.

During his downtime, Daniel enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Heidi, and their three children. Together, they cherish the company of their friends and family.

Christine Ashbaugh, a lifelong resident of Marble Falls, is a dedicated performer and educator with a passion for the performing arts. Since the age of three, she has been actively involved in various aspects of performing arts, honing her skills and sharing her talents with others.

Ms. Ashbaugh holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with an Opera Minor from Texas State University, where she studied under the tutelage of renowned soprano Cheryl Parrish. Her extensive training and education have equipped her with a solid vocal technique and performance foundation.

In addition to her accomplishments as a performer, Christine Ashbaugh is also a skilled director and voice teacher. She has guided and mentored numerous students who have achieved significant success in choir and musical theater competitions, reaching the prestigious state level. Her expertise spans various music genres, including opera, classical, musical theater, pop, and more.

Recognized for her exceptional talent and dedication, Ms. Ashbaugh received the Greater Austin High School Musical Theater Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her outstanding portrayal of Miss Adelaide in the production of "Guys and Dolls."

Recently, Christine Ashbaugh marked a significant milestone in her career by making her professional opera debut with Austin Opera. She showcased her remarkable vocal abilities and stage presence as a chorus member in their production of Bizet's "The Pearl Fishers," sharing the stage with esteemed Metropolitan Opera performers Will Liverman and David Portillo.

Christine Ashbaugh's deep-rooted passion for the performing arts, extensive experience, and versatile skills make her a remarkable teacher and mentor. Whether she is instructing aspiring vocalists, guiding performers on stage, or sharing her knowledge of various music genres, she is committed to helping her students unlock their full potential and achieve their goals in the performing arts world.

Box Office Manager & Volunteer Coordinator

Louraine, a native of West Point, New York, has been an integral part of the community theatre since moving to Horseshoe Bay with her husband, John, in September 1997. She started as a volunteer shortly after and has since been an essential member of the team. Louraine manages the box office, ensuring guests have a seamless experience from purchasing tickets to finding their seats. Additionally, she makes sure that the concession stands are fully stocked and that visitors are greeted with a smile. When she's not at the theatre, Louraine enjoys playing bridge, bingo, and having lunch with her friends. Her dedication and hard work make her an invaluable member of the community theatre family.

Andrew's passion for the entertainment industry began in 1986 when he started working as a technician, builder, and designer for stage productions, concerts, television shows, and film projects throughout Texas. After years of traveling for work, Andrew decided to settle down and bring his extensive experience and skills to his home community theatre. He now oversees lighting, sound, set construction, and other facility-related operations, ensuring that every performance succeeds. Andrew's dedication and hard work are hugea asset to the theatre, and his attention to detail ensures that every production looks and sounds incredible. Andrew enjoys spending time with his family and playing music when he's not at the theatre.
